Terms & Conditions
Last updated: June 25, 2026
PLEASE READ THESE TERMS CAREFULLY. By accessing mypetalert.org or using the MyPetAlert service, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, do not use the site or service.
What MyPetAlert Is — and Is Not
MyPetAlert is a pet emergency contact service. You designate an emergency caregiver and carry a MyPetAlert identifier; if you cannot get home and your identifier is used, we help alert your prearranged caregiver. Please understand the following important limitations:
- MyPetAlert is NOT 911 and is not a substitute for emergency services.
- MyPetAlert is NOT an emergency-response agency, law enforcement, or a monitoring service, and does not dispatch responders.
- MyPetAlert is NOT veterinary care.
- MyPetAlert does NOT guarantee that a caregiver will be reachable, available, or able to respond. The service depends on telecommunications networks and third parties we do not control.
- You are responsible for keeping your caregiver and contact information accurate and current, and for ensuring your caregiver has agreed to the role.
Accounts and Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and provide accurate information. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your credentials secure.
Membership, Billing, and Auto-Renewal
The MyPetAlert membership is billed annually at the then-current rate and renews automatically each year unless cancelled, charged to your payment method on file via our processor (Stripe). We provide notice of the renewal amount before each charge, and pricing may change with advance notice. You may cancel future renewals at any time. Refunds and cancellation are governed by our Refund and Cancellation Policy.
Kits and Identifiers
Each kit includes a unique 12-digit identifier and an activation code. Identifiers are for your prearranged emergency plan only and may not be resold, transferred, or used to misrepresent another person’s plan.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to misuse the site or service, including no unlawful, harassing, infringing, or abusive activity, no impersonation, and no attempts to disrupt or gain unauthorized access. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
Intellectual Property
All content on the site is owned by or licensed to MyPetAlert and protected by law. Copyright © 2026 MyPetAlert. All rights reserved. MyPetAlert names, logos, and marks are trademarks of MyPetAlert and may not be used without permission.
Warranty Disclaimer
The site, service, and products are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that alerts will be delivered or received.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, MyPetAlert and its officers, employees, and suppliers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any harm to pets, persons, or property, arising from use of or inability to use the service. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some may not apply to you.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless MyPetAlert and its representatives from claims, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your use of the service, your content, or your violation of these terms.
Text Messages
SMS and voice contact are consent-based and used for caregiver alerts and service notices. Message and data rates may apply; reply STOP to opt out and HELP for help. See our Privacy Policy.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. You agree that any dispute will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Manatee County, Florida.
Changes, Notice, and Termination
We may update these terms and will post changes here. We may provide notice by email or on the site. We may suspend or terminate the service or your access at any time as described herein. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive.
